Pistachios are known as royal nuts. Pistachios can be used raw or roasted as snacks. Pistachio products can be used in food recipes to enrich the taste of foods or enhance nutrition value of of the meal. Also, pistachio products are used for decoration or as a kind of spice in food. The industries in which pistachios are used most are poultry, confectionary, bakery, and spice.

There are four variation of pistachios in terms of commercial varieties,

1. Round
2. Long
3. Jumbo
4. Closed shell Pistachio

These three different commercial varieties have different kind with different sizes.

Round
Round pistachios belong to this variety. This pistachios are smaller than other kinds of pistachios but bigger compared to hazelnut and it is most common type of pistachios to reexported since the price

compared to other types are lower while the nutrition value and taste are as good as other types.

Long
: This type of pistachio is called super long due to its appearance. This pistachios are the longest in comparison to the type of pistachios. The color of the shell is darker in this type compared to other type of pistachios.

Jumbo
This type of pistachios is larger and longer compared to round pistachios. This type is one of the oldest type of pistachios grown in world.

Closed shell pistachio
All types of pistachios have closed shells. Kernels are derived from shelling closed shell pistachios. closed shell pistachios are exported to many countries all around the world such as China , Taiwan, Europe, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.
